Newborn Session F.A.Q.

We strongly recommend booking while you are in your second trimester. We only book a maximum amount of newborn shoots per month; therefore, booking in advance will secure your spot. Once you book, we will add your due date to our calendar and ensure plenty of availability. Once you have the baby, let us know, and we will schedule you in within 4 to 12 days from your baby’s birth.

Questions & Answers

Q: Do you have props that I can use during my newborn session?
A: Yes absolutely! Some of our big props include a newborn bed, airplane, vintage stroller, just to name a few. We also carry a wide range of blankets, wraps, hats, headbands, outfits etc. 99% of the items you see in our photos belong to us and are free to use during your session!

Q: How long will my session last?
A: Your newborn session will last anywhere from 2 – 3 hours in order to accommodate for fussing, diaper changes, feedings, etc. Sometimes it takes a bit to get the baby sleeping soundly in order to pose them properly.

Q: Who will be posing my baby?
A: Adam’s wife Pamela has been posing babies for years! She has a passion for newborn sessions and has taken various courses and training seminars to ensure your baby’s safety while posing your baby perfectly.

Q: Some of the newborn poses I see seem a bit on the dangerous side, will my baby’s safety be at risk?
A: All of the riskier shots you see are what we call “blended photos” with lots of Photoshop work used to complete the image (as seen below).

Q: How do I prepare for my session?
A: A few days prior to your scheduled session, we will send you a list of tips on how to best prepare for your shoot. This will help you to relax and be prepared for a successful (and fun) session!
